DataLan Corporation wins International Software Developer Award

White Plains, NY — 11/14/2005 — DataLan Corporation announced that at the opening of the Microsoft Launch Tour 2005 for SQL 2005, Visual Studio 2005, and BizTalk Server 2006, DataLan was awarded the International Grand Prize in the Microsoft Connected Systems Developer Competition for their Executive Performance Management (EPM) Solution.

Microsoft defines Connected Systems as systems that apply the power of software to enhance information exchange between people, processes, and information technology and aligns technology assets and your business processes into a cohesive whole which enables deeper customer connections, integrated partners, empowered employees, and faster time to market. The EPM Solution allows an organization to align their mission, vision, and strategy with clearly defined metrics, goals, and ownership, by leveraging SQL 2005 and SharePoint 2003.

The solution was chosen out of over 1400 entries from organizations as diverse as other solution providers, video game designers, ISV’s, and builders of developer tools. Judging was based on Creativity/Innovation (30 points), Technical Excellence/Design (45 points), and Usefulness of the entry/Value to the target audience (25 points).
